International filmmaker Majid Majidi keen on watching PIHU

It doesn't happen every day that a celebrated international filmmaker shows interest in watching an Indian film. It happened during the IFFI Goa 2017 where Majid Majidi's film Beyond the Clouds was the opening film in the international category and Vinod Kapri's PIHU was the opening film in the Indian category. When the international filmmaker learned about PIHU, he asked his team to get in touch with Vinod Kapri as he wanted to meet the director and the girl who played PIHU. He was very keen on understanding how difficult or easy it was for him to direct a 2-year-old. He was all praises and congratulated Vinod Kapri for doing an extraordinary work. He told the director that he will make sure to watch PIHU when he comes back to India.

PIHU's trailer has been appreciated by people across the globe by reaching over 2 million views. PIHU is a film is the most anticipated thriller about 2 years old girl trapped in an apartment alone. It is one of a kind in every aspect as it is the only film in the history of cinema to have just one character throughout, played by a 2-year-old child. It is a gripping thriller and will have audiences on the edge of their seats till the last frame.

Pihu is directed by national award-winning filmmaker Vinod Kapri, produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under their banners RSVP and Roy Kapur Films respectively.

Director Vonid Kapri said, `It is always a happy moment when a renowned filmmaker appreciated your hard work It was an honour meeting Majid Majidi and I am glad that he is interested in watching the film..`

The film has travelled across the globe in recent times and has garnered amazing reviews. Pihu was officially selected for prestigious international film festivals which include Vancouver, Palmsprings, Iran, Morocco and Germany. The film went on to win `Best Film` in Morocco. It was also the opening film at India's largest - International Film Festival of India, Goa (2017) where it received rave reviews.

Ronnie and Siddharth who are known to have backed path-breaking and unconventional cinema like - Dev D, A Wednesday, Rang De Basanti and Barfii - in their first innings together at UTV, seem to have picked up where they left off from. RSVP and Roy Kapur Films believe in presenting content-driven films and are focused on delivering films backed by power packed performances by talented actors and directors.
