Ever since Amazon Prime Video Original and Excel Media Entertainment's 'Mirzapur' has been available for streaming the series has created a rage amongst the audience.

Mirzapur has been hailed by the viewers for all the good reasons be it the gripping storyline, the performances of the leading cast or even the powerful direction.

Even though the series is a fictional story but it has been presented in a very realistic manner and the makers of the show have explored the region of Purvanchal in Uttar Pradesh beautifully.

Interestingly it's not the first time Amazon Prime Video Original and Excel Media Entertainment have represented reality so beautifully in their series.

Previously Amazon Prime Video Original and Excel Media Entertainment had represented the dark side of the cricketing world in their fictional series Inside Edge which also got nominated at Emmy awards.

Ritesh Sidhwani and Karan Anshuman had also recently walked the red carpet at the International Emmy Awards for the same.

Inside Edge had left audiences hooked to an extent that they indulged in impulsive binge-watching and now Amazon and Excel have once again presented a gripping and hard-hitting story with Mirzapur.

The first season of Mirzapur is touted as a thrilling and gripping crime drama stars an ensemble cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Divyendu Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Amit Sial promising a powerhouse of talent in the same frame.

Created by Puneet Krishna and Karan Anshuman, Amazon Prime Video Original's Mirzapur is directed by Gurmeet Singh and is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
