Actress Kangana Ranaut is so impressed by Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan that she wants to get
married to somebody as cultured and as nice.
She met Hrithik at the recent Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) in Kuala Lumpur where she was honoured
with the best female debutante for her role in "Gangster - A Love Story".
"In a world filled with dishonourable intentions Hrithik is such a thorough gentleman. He knows how to make
a lady feel special. He spoke to me as if I was the best actress in the world," Kangana told.
"I think his wife is very lucky. Where can I find a husband like that?" sighs Kangana, who has no one that
special in her life.
What about rumours of her and Upen Patel? "Are we talking about someone special in my life?" she retorts
tongue-in-cheek.
It was touch-and-go for actress Kangana at her first awards function in Kuala Lumpur. Kangana went
through unexpected trauma last week. A routine delay at the GIFA awards made the actress miss the flight
for Dubai where she was supposed to attend the Dubai Film Festival the next day.
"I don't know if it was a routine delay. I've no experience with awards ceremonies. GIFA was my first ever
awards. And I was damn excited to get the trophy from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
"However, the function, which was supposed to start at 7 p.m. finally, started at 11 p.m. I rushed out soon
after I got my award. But it was too late. I had missed my flight to Dubai for the festival there."
Fortunately, she was able to find a place in a later flight.
"And I reached Dubai just in time for the red carpet at the film festival."
Kangana shudders at the thought of the losses she'd have suffered if she had failed to reach Dubai.
"It was an endorsed event and heavy compensations were involved. But no complaints! I loved the idea of
getting my first award. This was actually my second award in two days. But I couldn't be in Singapore for
my best-actress award at the Asian Awards For 1st Films."
Is it true the producers Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt didn't arrange for her travel to Singapore in time?
"I wouldn't like to comment on that. The Bhatts have been more than fair to me. In fact, I made it a point to
thank them at GIFA."
