After keeping their fans waiting for a long time, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have finally shared the first official pictures from their Mehendi ceremony.

Taking to their official Instagram accounts, the newly-weds posted beautiful and vibrant pictures from their ceremony.

The duo, who has been painting the world red with their romance, were are all smiles as they kick-started the celebrations "in the way they both dreamed."

Wearing a multi-hued organdy ensemble, designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Priyanka looked like a vision in the regal outfit inspired by a vintage collection. She complimented her look with statement traditional jewelry. On the other hand, Nick looked dapper in aqua bakhiya kurta.

One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other's faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part of the pre wedding rituals for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed. @nickjonas

It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love.  Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. After keeping their wedding under tight wraps, the couple exchanged the vows at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in a Christian wedding ceremony.

On Sunday, the bride and groom continued their wedding weekend as they will tie the knot in a Hindu ceremony. The couple began their wedding celebration with a puja at Priyanka's residence on Wednesday.

Priyanka and Nick confirmed their engagement in August during a trip to Mumbai, where their families gathered for festivities, including a Roka ceremony and a grand engagement bash.
