Singer Mika Singh has been detained in United Arab Emirates (UAE) after a girl lodged a complaint against him for allegedly harassing her, a member of the singer's team informed.

The questioning in the case is underway.

Mika had gone to Dubai to perform at a Bollywood event.

The singer was released from the detention after the efforts made by Indian embassy in UAE. However he will be produced before a Dubai court later today.

This is not the first time that the 41-year-old singer has faced charges for inappropriate behaviour. Way back in the year 2006, Rakhi Sawant had accused the singer of forcibly kissing her.
