Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has expressed his willingness to act in Arab movies, if invited by filmmakers of the region.

"It would be a different experience for me to work in an Arab film. And to any such offer from an Arab film-maker, I would say 'Assalamu Alaikum', without a second thought," the actor said here Thursday.

Shah Rukh has been selected as one of the artists from India for the ongoing Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) salute this year.

The actor added that Dubai felt like second home to him, especially because of its people and culture, according to Khaleej Times.

"The honour from DIFF is my first international award. Dubai is a wonderful city and I am happy to be here. The growth of Dubai is unbelievable. The infrastructure here is suitable for shooting of films," he said.

In 2004, Dubai joined the ranks of the world's premier film festivals with DIFF.

Going into its third year, the festival showcases a wide selection of features, short films and documentaries from around the world. The festival also celebrates excellence in Arab and world cinema by screening a repertoire of critically-acclaimed and award winning films.
