The year 2018 was a good one for the Hindi film industry. And now, Bollywood is all set to step into 2019 with a bang as it offers an interesting line up of films.

Let's take a look at list of films all set to treat the audience in 2019:-

URI - 11th January

URI is The film based on the 2016 Indian Army's surgical strikes on Pakistan as a retaliation for the Uri attack, will have real-life footage which showcases what really happened during the military operation that was carried out by the Indian army two years ago.

Starring an ensemble cast, including Mohit Raina, Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, and Kirti Kulhari amongst others.

Produced by RSVP movies and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on 11th January 2019.

Cheat India - 25th January

The Soumik Sen directorial, starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead role, is about the scams that take place in the Indian education system. Emraan plays the role of a scamster who has a team of toppers writing exams for other candidates seeking admission in reputed educational institutions.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi - 25th January

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is all set to arrive in theaters on January 25 after much delay. Kangana plays the role of feisty Rani Laxmi Bai who takes on the East India Company.

Thackeray - 25th January

Nawazuddin Siddiqui essays the role of the late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray in the biopic titled Thackeray. Also starring Amrita Rao, the film has been directed by Abhijit Panse.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga - 1st February

Bringing to screen the father-daughter duo of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor together for the first time, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga promises to be the 'unexpected romance of the year. Also starring Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao

Fox Star Studio presents 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra & Rajkumar Hirani Films, directed by Shelly Chopra is slated to release on 12th October, 2018

Sonchiriya - 8th February

Starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey, and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles, SonChiriya presents a rustic and rooted tale set in the era of dacoits.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey who has earlier presented 'Udta Punjab' and 'Ishiqiya', 'SonChiriya' presents a rooted tale set in Chambal.

Producer Ronnie Screwvala who has not only presented blockbusters but also award-winning films is all set to present 'SonChiriya'.

Gully Boy - 14th February

Gully Boy is a story inspired by slum rappers of Dharavi. Ranveer Singh who is paired opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time on the big screen is playing the role of a street rapper.

The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and is produced by Excel Entertainment.

Luka Chuppi - 1st March

The latest heartthrob of the nation Kartik Aaryan will once again sprinkle his charm on the 70mm screen in Dinesh Vijan's production Luka Chuppi. He will be romancing Kriti Sanon in the movie

Mere Pyaare Prime Minister - 8th March

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming film 'Mere Pyare Prime Minister is a film about 4 kids who live in Mumbai slum and share a strong bond of friendship.

The Zoya Factor - 5th April

Zoya Factor is Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan's second Bollywood outing after Karwaan. The movie also stars Sonam Kapoor. It is a screen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's best-selling novel of the same name. Director by Abhishek Sharma

Jabariya Jodi - 17th May

Directed by Prashant Singh, Jabariya Jodi stars Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra. Co-presented by Balaji Telefilms and Karma Media Entertainment, the film is said to present a take on Bihar's 'pakadwa vivaah' (groom kidnapping).

Bharat - June

Salman Khan once again has teamed up with Ali Abbas Zafar for Bharat, which also features Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover. The film is slated to release on Eid this year.

Saaho - 15th August

Starring Pan India superstar Prabhas and Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor in leading roles, 'Saaho' will also have an ensemble cast of Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay, Murali Sharma, amongst others.

Prabhas's next big outing Saaho is a high octane action thriller, trilingual film, the shoot for which is currently under progress. A UV Creations production and presented by Tseries, 'Saaho' is produced by Vamsi, Pramod, Vikram and directed by Sujeeth.

Chhichhore - 30th August

Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari has joined hands with Sajid Nadiadwala for his next film Chhichhore. It stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in never-seen-before avatars. While the plot of the film is yet to be revealed, Nadiadwala called it a `riveting story of today's generation` and Nitesh Tiwari said it's a `timeless tale of time pass.`

Made In China - 30th August

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy as a married couple, Made In China is the story of a struggling businessman who takes bizarre ways of finding success. His wife (Mouni) encourages him to undertake the journey to China in hopes that it will make him a successful entrepreneur. Shot in Ahmedabad, the Dinesh Vijan production also stars Boman Irani.

Saina

A biopic based on the life of India's star Badminton player Saina Nehwal.
