When we talk about Kamal Mujtaba, we are talking about the face of Indian Boxing. He is a self-made man with over a decade of leading championship in his category in armature boxing and was also awarded best boxer through the Boxing commission. He did not stop there but went on making his mark in professional boxing and represented India against several countries.

Boxing is an individual game and so does the fighter deal with all his abilities and inabilities by himself in the ring and adapts similar qualities outside the ring as well. Kamal Mujtaba is a man who has embedded the boxing lifestyle. So he went on changing the perception as a Boxing as Boxer in India and now working his way to put India on the globe on Boxing by giving Indian boxers an opportunity of their lifetime to represent the country through professional matches. India is a country filled with talent and boxers can be moulded and sculptured to be a professional boxers and Kamal has been successful at promoting N number of professional boxers and armature Boxers ( Olympic line) in India.

Future of boxing in India:

Taking the current scenario of pro Boxing organised by Kamal, he managed to pull in a crowd of 2300 members to witness the making of a champion, fight night organised. Which we don't often get to see the kind of crowd unless its an established sport like cricket.

Kamal worked his ways to give youngsters and fitness enthusiasts an opportunity to learn Boxing to debit frustration, channelize Body and mind and learn skills set of a boxer and adapt sharpness and build reflex, motor control and timing for day today application and once people started to see the other side of natural perception of the sport and how it can be a fit routine lifestyle, it built curiosity. It's just beautiful to work with Kamal on Boxing as he wraps boxing in a very present gift wrap and teaches important applications of boxing in everyone's life. It would come as a surprise if I declared that boxing is not just about fight. It's beyond that, which is what builds curiosity in people, when two opponents who have been training their whole life would have possessed great timing, speed and power and yet one stands out. How is this possible and which is where the best and most important part of boxing comes up, which is 'It is a game of 2 mindsets which involves them physically but mostly mentally. As both opponents are capable of hitting but not everyone is capable of timing, setting up, plotting & executing.

This being educated to people, have accepted the sport and started to follow the thrill of sport and this has been on the raise. Therefore the future of boxing in India looks very promising.

In recent years, Indian boxers have made India proud on different levels of international tournaments, when do you think that boxing can come up as a major sport in Olympics and international games and what is your contribution in that?

Olympics and Professional boxing are two different line with equal stature. Like mentioned above kamal has trained number of professional and armature fighters who are national medallist and are going to represent India and on the other hand are few who are professional boxers and have made the country proud. Which includes the biggest International pro boxing match organised in Bangalore, India. where Boxers from several countries like Afghanistan, Kenya, Philippines etc participated in the event. Kamal is organising major training camps to find potential in every boxer and promote the best of boxing to represent the country.

We are taking initiatives to introduce the sport of boxing in educational institutions and bringing up the charm of the sport which carries due values like discipline, sportsmanship, positive attitude, leadership quality, individuality etc and as i have mentioned above, Boxing is not only physically demanding but also mentally. Therefore you will not only be physically fit but also mentally. Which is why i would recommend everyone to taste the sport. Youth of India should be encouraged to take up a mentally & physically challenging sport like boxing which will Boost their confidence of individual execution and build their abilities. As boxers we will encourage, as a parent, as a country men, will you?
