Noted film producer Boney Kapoor was today granted bail by a court here in three cases related to the alleged bouncing of cheques for Rs 30 lakh.
Kapoor appeared in the court following the issuance of an arrest warrant against him in the three cases.
He was released on a bail and surety of Rs 20,000 each in two cases by Judicial Magistrate Samroz Khan and Rs 10,000 in another case by Judicial Magistrate R K Batham, Kapoor's advocate D C R Dube told reporters.
Film financer Mahendra Singh Bedi had given Rs 30 lakh for one of Kapoor's films a year ago. When he deposited the cheques given to him by the producer, they were allegedly dishonoured.
