Hungama Play, a leading video on demand platform owned by Hungama Digital Media, today launched a new short film - New Born Mother. A drama that deals with the serious, yet, shrouded issue of postpartum depression, the film highlights the phases that new parents go through and the essence of family support during motherhood. The short film stars 'Bar Code'-famed popular film and television actor Karan Wahi along with Pooja Gor recognized for her titular roles in popular TV shows, Mann KeeAwaazPratigya and EkNayiUmmeed - Roshni. Directed by Swati Semwal and produced by First Step Entertainment Capital, New born Mother will be available to stream on Hungama Play from today.

The short film will also be available to stream through Hungama Play on Vodafone Play, Amazon Fire TV Stick and SHAREit. Additionally, through Hungama's association with Xiaomi consumers will also be able to watch the film via Hungama Play on Mi TV.

New Born Mother deals with the effect of untreated depression and anxiety on the new mother, played by Pooja Gor, and captures the difficulties that she faces while suffering from postpartum depression. It brings out the overwhelming effect that motherhood has on women and raises awareness on the importance of honest and loving communication between partners.
