The storyline of Jabariya Jodi is quite unique as it is based on pakadwa shaadis which many people are not aware of, in our country as a concept. The film presents real life story and according to reports- on an average, seven eligible bachelors are kidnapped every day and forcefully married off. Every year there are almost 1,500-1,800 weddings that happen this way. So, the fact that a wedding is happening is a 'surprise' for the grooms.

Jabariya Jodi is a comical entertainer based on the unusual practice of pakadwa shaadis prevalent in the heartland of the country in Bihar. With the film releasing today, the makers list reasons to not miss this movie.

The music of Jabariya Jodi is massy, and is an eclectic album that has struck the right chord with the audience as the song Khadke Glassy has been topping the charts. The film also has an ensemble of singers such as Arijit Singh, Sachet-Parampara and Ashok Mastie, among others and composers such as Tanishk Baghi, Sachet Tandon-Parampara Thakur and Vishal Mishra, lending their voice to several tracks.

The fact that Sidharth and Parineeti have reunited on the big screen after a gap of five years, has gotten the audience excited. And this time, they will be seen playing gutsy lovers who challenge and take on each other. Sidharth plays such a rustic, desi boy from Patna, while Parineeti plays the alpha female from a small town. Besides the lead cast, the film also boasts a support cast that comprises talented actors such Aparshakti Khurana, Sanjay Mishra, Javed Jaaferi, Neeraj Sood, Gopal Dutt and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

Jabariya Jodi which also also brings out the real flavour of the heartland India. Witty dialogues and comical punches take the narrative forward while talking about a rampant yet unexplored concept of pakadwa shaadi.

Talking about the same, director Prashant Singh says, `Since this concept of pakadwa shaadi was unique but had a serious theme to it, we gave a quirky spin to it and presented the film as a massy, comical entertainer. The film is the right mix of contemporary reality and entertaining cinema.`

The film is shot at real locations in Uttar Pradesh to give the right flavour. Interestingly, both the writers of the film, Sanjeev K Jha and Prashant Singh belong to the same state so they took to fact and fictionalized the story, keeping it as real as possible. The film is full of vibrancy, with colorful frames, entertaining visuals and interesting characters, not to forget a plethora of party hoppers and love songs to satiate the palette of the audience.

Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Shaailesh R Singh, Jabariya Jodi, a Balaji Telefilms and Karma Media and Entertainment production,Jabariya Jodi releases today.
