The 'Dangal' fame director recently shared interesting insights about the prep which the entire cast went through.
He shares, `Sports have always been an integral part of our growing up years whether, at school or college, the level of competitiveness depends at the level which you are playing. So in Chhichhore, we are referring to inter- hostel sports championship which is called 'General Championship' also called as GC.`
He even shared about his experiences an he mentioned, `During my time, GC was a hot topic with a very competitive spirit, it was a matter of great prestige for every hostel to try and win this GC. its still the same case and its still the same case in most of the major colleges. That's the kind of importance sports has.`
Talking about the film he further adds, `Although predominantly in the film, sports has been added as a touch of humour, yes there comes a time when real sportsman has to show his mettle and rise and shine. For those part, we wanted our actors to look very authentic in any sports they were playing and in the case general championship there are a lot of sports which get played which includes football, hockey, badminton, table tennis, weight lifting, athletics, swimming, carrom, chess and many more. In the film, we have various actors displaying their skills at various sports and even if any sport was to be featured for a very brief period of time we wanted to make it look extremely authentic.`
On how the actors prepared he shares, `So all the actors in whatever sports that they were going to play in the film, went through a rigious training under very renowned couches, and their physio and their team members and the training ranged from three to five months depending on the requirment of the sports. some actors went through multiple trainings as in real life one student plays many sports. There is a true athlete 'Tahir' went through training in football, weight lifting, athletics, and kabaddi. same is the case with Sushant's character he is the state level basketball player. His training was also kept in mind, he needs to look like a state-level basketball player apart from being very good at cricket and football. so a lot of technical details have been kept in mind, sports have not only shot with a lot of humor in some places but wherever the real sports had to be shown we have shown and tried to capture them with lot of finesse.`
This shows that the director and the cast has made constant effort to bring out the realism in their characters and they have thoroughly, nailed both the appearances.
The movie trailer was also loved by all as all kind of emotions come true and are reflected on the screen. Friendship bonds with perfection and wit have hit the right chords with the audience.
The movie stars an ensemble cast of Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor along with Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, and Nalneesh Neel,
