"Of course, she is popular again and we are looking to sign her up for some of our brands," Emami Group Director Aditya V Agarwal told PTI over phone from Kolkata.
Agarwal said, Shilpa could come in good for promoting the company's hair and skin care products. "She would be good for these products and we have approached her agent to take forward the process," he said.
However, he conceded that the popularity of the actress' following her success on the UK reality show was more confined to a particular section of the Indian society, and not across the masses.
Emami has already signed big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Virender Sehwag and Sunny Deol.
Following her victory on the show, Shetty has reportedly been offered a Hollywood film by Fox Pictures, a book deal, endorsements for clothes, cosmetics and jewellery, a television documentary, hosting a cricket reality show and an awards ceremony and an exclusive interview with the tabloid 'The Sun'.
