Sanya Malhotra made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with the movie Dangal which was directed by Nitesh Tiwari and created all the waves for her role. The actress portrayed the character of the celebrated wrestler Babita Kumari for which she had undergone training for about nine months and continued the training even during the filming of the film.

The young versatile actor said, `I like to be prepared for every role that I do, can't really call it pressure because I just enjoy the whole process of performing and being in the character. She is very confident when she is in front of the camera and has always been a director's actor and is known for selecting different roles. The actress is appreciated for her versatile roles.

Sanya shared screen space with Nawazuddin in critically acclaimed film Photograph and as usual, she nailed her performance and with her performance created a great buzz in her fans where she also took the nation on the world map higher as she got featured in Top 5 breakout stars in the prestigious Berlinale list.

Sanya was also seen in movies like Pataakha, Badhaai Ho and the most recent one being, Photograph.

Hailed as a director's favourite, Sanya will next be seen in Anurag Basu's film as she gears up to for upcoming projects with an eye for great scripts.
