Anushka Sharma To Produce Web Series For Netflix

The groundbreaking success of 'Sacred Games' and 'Tokyo Ghoul' have paved the way for more original productions from our country. Without the constraint of censorship, we have thrived and made some remarkable content that was never seen in another medium.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is taking a huge step forward in this direction and will be bringing a project with her company Clean State Films for Netflix. She will serve as an executive producer on 'Mai'.

It will be based on a 47-year-old wife and mother, Sheetal who is sucked into the menacing world of vengeance, violence, and power following a personal tragedy.

'Mai' will be written by Atul Mongia, with a team of creative of producers Tamal Sen, Amita Vyas, and Sudip Sharma. Netflix also has Shah Rukh Khan's 'Betal' and Ashvini Yardi's 'Masaba Masaba' lined up to bolster their international content.
