'Dunk fight' which is one of the games that the hostel boys usually play with each other wherein they put buckets of water on each other and try and make everyone wet, and the last one who doesn't do it gets the punishment or gets ragged in a fun way- a drill that every hostel boy loves to be a part of!
These are some of the unforgettable memories from the hostel time of Nitesh's life and the director has recreated the same in Chhichhore which is totally a delight for one and all!
After seeing the fun-filled trailers and songs of 'Chhichhore' whose narrative is set around a group of friends from Engineering College, we are assured that the film's director had the great fun of his life during his college days as a Metallurgy and Material Science Engineering graduate who was super close with his college friends the way the Chhichhore star-cast- who cannot stay without each other.
When asked Nitesh about the whole experience and fun, he said, `There was a ritual in my hostel called 'Dunk Fight' The ritual where all it needed was one guy to wake up somebody in the middle of the night and drench the other student. The chain reaction would start like this and within minutes entire hostel would be running around in only their underwear throwing water on each other with buckets. This would start in our hostel and get extended to other rival hostels as well.`
He further added, "I have recreated this in Chhichhore as well. Recently, we had planned that we would use hot water as we were shooting in winter but we realized that with every shot we were falling short of hot water. Very soon we were left with no option but to use cold water and that honestly became funnier. Before I could say action before the take as I would hear everyone screaming as they were getting drenched in the cold water and getting ready for the take. So yes, we had immense fun recreating this in Chhichhore.`
Interestingly the film is also being screened for the students of IIT Bombay, which is one of the most prestigious engineering institutions in the country.
The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma in the lead roles.
