Destin Daniel Cretton, known for `Short Term 12` (2013) and `The Glass Castle` (2017) is returning with a legal drama based on real life. Destin will be reuniting with Brie Larson for the third time for `Just Mercy`, the trailer for which was released last night.

Harvard Educated-lawyer Bryan Stevenson (Micheal B. Jordan) returns to his home and takes on the case of Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx). In a voiceover which turns out to be a conversation with his mother, we find him saying that he didn`t expect someone his age to be on the death row. Under different circumstances, it could have been him. In his fight to save Walter, he is joined by Eva Ansley (Brie Larson). Together, they take on a biased judicial system, with Bryan pleading for a `just mercy.`

`Just Mercy` is co-written by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Lanham and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Lanham. It stars Micheal B. Jordan and Oscar winners Brie Larson and Jamie Foxx along with Rafe Spell, Tim Blake Nelson, and O`Shea Jackson.

`Just Mercy` shadows world-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan) as he recounts his experiences and details the case of a condemned death row prisoner(Jamie Foxx) whom he fought to free.

`Just Mercy` has landed a release date for December 25, 2019, and before that it will play at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival
