Harvard Educated-lawyer Bryan Stevenson (Micheal B. Jordan) returns to his home and takes on the case of Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx). Under different circumstances, it could have been him. In his fight to save Walter, he is joined by Eva Ansley (Brie Larson). Together, they take on a biased judicial system, with Bryan pleading for a `just mercy.`
