Gurnam Bhullar and Sargun Mehta's latest offering "Surkhi Bindi' has earned decent in its first week despite facing a clash with another Punjabi film 'Ishq My Religion'.
This Jagdeep Sidhu directorial is well received by the audience and has managed to rake in some good moolah worldwide in its first weekend.
According to reports, Surkhi Bindi during its first weekend, collected around 2.25 crores in India, 70 lacs in Canada, 35 lacs in U.S.A , 28 lacs in U.K., 25 lacs in Australia, 5 lacs in Newzealand and 6 lacs from other territories.
The total worldwide weekend collections amount to 3.94 crores worldwide which looks good considering the fact that the film has been made on a small budget.
Surkhi Bindi is the story of Rano (Sarhun Mehta) who dreams of marrying a rich guy settled in abroad but ends up marrying Sukha (Gurnam Bhullar) who is not what she dreamt.
Directed by Jagdeep Sidhu and produced by Shri Narotam Ji Films, Surkhi Bindi released on 20th August to positive reviews.
