Known for his performances in 'Raazi' and 'Gangs of Wasseypur', Jaideep Ahlawat is set to star as an antagonist in upcoming film 'Khaali Peeli.' The film stars Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey as the romantic couple.

Ahlawat spoke on his casting, stating that, `It's always challenging to play a typical Hindi film villain- something different from what I have been doing, I hope I do justice to the written part and I am looking forward to work with this young talent." Ahlawat will be seen in the upcoming Netflix series 'Bard of Blood.'

'Khaali Peeli' is directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Ali Abbas Zafar under Zee Studios. It stars Ishaan Khatter, Ananya Pandey, and Jaideep Ahlawat. The shooting for the film is underway as Ishaan Khatter shared a picture from the sets via his Instagram account.

'Khaali Peeli' is scheduled for a June 12, 2020 release.
