The latest in line is the man who keeps repeating in his songs that he is 'Dil Da Nahi Maada', yes he is Sidhu Moosewala. The Punjabi singing sensation lately landed himself in legal trouble over some questionable lyrics of his new song titled 'Jatti Jeone Mod Di Bandook Wargi'.
Two complaints were filed against Moosewala in Mansa and Bathinda over the questionable lyrics referring to Mai Bhago who lead 40 Sikh soldiers in a fight against the Mughals soldiers.
Sikh activists started protesting outside Moosewala's house in his native village 'Moosa' where his mother, 'Charan Kaur' is the sitting Sarpanch. A police official in Mansa said that a complaint of hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs was filed against Moosewala by the Sikh activists. The official said police were looking into the complaint.
Shiromani Akali Dal, urged the the Punjab government to immediately ban the song and take a strict action and register a criminal case against the singer, lyricist and the production company for intentionally hurting the feelings of the Sikh community by showing the great warrior and a highly revered woman, Mai Bhaago in a bad light in his latest video song.
Sidhu Moosewala realizing his mistake took to Instagram and apologized to his fans and the people explaining that he is a devout Sikh and it was an unintentional mistake on his part. He also said that the objectionable lyrics will be removed from the song.
