Amitabh Bachchan to be conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award!
Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has completed almost 50 years in the Indian film industry and now the actor is being conferred with prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

The news arrived via Twitter on Tuesday evening. Union minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar posted, "The legend Amitabh Bachchan who entertained and inspired for 2 generations has been selected unanimously for #DadaSahabPhalke award. The entire country and international community is happy. My heartiest Congratulations to him. @narendramodi @SrBachchan"

In his 50 years long career Amitabh Bachchan has delivered some of the greatest Bollywood films. He made his Bollywood debut with Saat Hindustani in 1969. He was the angry young man of Zanjeer (1973) and Deewar (1975) who seamlessly morphed into the variety entertainer of Amar Akbar Anthony (1977). A life-threatening injury in Coolie (1983) halted him briefly. There was also a brief dalliance with politics that ended abruptly. He dabbled in business too, and it ended damagingly.

After the news came out, wishes pour in for the megastar and his fans and friends congratulated the star.

Amitabh Bachchan expressed his gratitude and wrote, "T 3298 - There is a paucity of words searching a response .. for the generosity of words that pour in  .. I am but deeply grateful and most humbled .. my sincerest gratitude ..

कृतज्ञ हूँ मैं , परिपूर्ण , आभार और धन्यवाद  ... मैं केवल एक विनयपूर्ण , विनम्र अमिताभ बच्चन हूँ"

On the work front he will be seen next in Nagraj Manjule's directorial 'Jhund'.
