Soch is a thriller whose impressive caption goes as - `It`s a thought which kills`. Soch is a medium budget flick, which is written and directed by débutante Sushen Bhatnagar. With young and fresh directors like Ashutosh Gowariker (Lagaan), Farhan Akhtar (Dil Chahta Hai) and Madhur Bhandarkar (Chandni Bar) tasting success last year, there is immense scope for Sushen too to repeat the same with Soch. Soch has an unusual but an interesting star cast of Sanjay Kapoor (in his popular short haircut avtaar), Arbaaz Khan (who has recently won accolades for his excellent performance in Maa Tujhe Salaam), Rabba Rabba girl Raveena Tandon, Mrs. Universe Aditi Govatrikar (who featured in last year`s no1 non film number Kabhie To Nazar Milao and makes her film debut here) and ever-so-menacing Danny Denzongpa. Dr. Wijahat Kareem is the producer of Soch, which has music by Jatin Lalit and lyrics by Sameer.
Ever heard of something like `Awadhi Pop`. Yes - Sameer and Jatin Lalit have made it possible with `Tohe Leke Savariya`. Now this is what we call in true terms - `DIFFERENT`. The way the fusion has been made possible is mind-blowing and very appreciable. Sonu Nigam and Richa Sharma contribute to this number with earnest dedication. This love song is going to make a mark.
Just like `Hasati Hai Mohabatein` in Kitne Door Kitne Paas, we have `Hasata Hai Rulata Hai Ye Pyaar` in Soch which is a purely pop number sung by the combo of new finds Shradha and Shweta. The style is the same as the Preity-Pinki numbers i.e. two singers combining their vocals for one female, the difference being that whereas Preity-Pinki sound naughty, Shweta -Shradha are more of sensual and popish.
`Yaadein Bani Parchaiyan` by the tried, tested and trusted duo of Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik is the pick of the lot. This number is the kind that Jatin lalit specialize in i.e. soft, romantic and melodious and is of similar style as `Baahon Ke Darmiyan - Khamoshi`, `Ae Kaash Ke Hum Hosh Mein Ab - Kabhie Haan Kabhie Naan` and `Jab Kisi Ki Taraf - Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha`. The lyrics of `Yaadein Bani Parchaiyan` are praiseworthy as well. A perfect love song to be sung to your valentine.
`Dil Dhoonde` starts off with Kay Kay in the similar way as `Ye Pyaar Hai` from recently released Indian. But the introduction of Asha Bhonsle gives it an all-together different dimension. The song is heavily inspired from RD Burman school of music - especially the violin and the guitar effect. It is a fast number and seems to be designed for the movie`s climax. A situational number but entertaining nevertheless.`Aa Mere Sanam` is again a love song in which he girl conveys her love, affection and caring for her hubby. She motivates the guy to cheer up and promises her support unconditionally.
A good song composed in an inimitable style that only Jatin Lalit can.It is a positive sign to have some good music in medium budget thrillers like Soch. `Tohe Leke Savariya` and `Yaadein Bani Parchaiyan` are enough reasons to go for this.
