Vicky Kaushal takes blessings at the Golden Temple for his next, 'Sardar Udham Singh'
Bollywood's new heartthrob Vicky Kaushal, who charmed the audience with his performances in blockbuster films like 'Sanju' and 'Uri The Surgical Strike', recently reached the 'Golden Temple' in Amritsar to take blessings for his upcoming biopic titled 'Sardar Udham Singh'.

Vicky will be seen playing the role of Shaheed Udham Singh in 'Sardar Udham Singh', his first look from the film which was released in April received tremendous love from the fans. Sharing his picture on Instagram Vicky wrote 'Babaji, mehr bakshyo. 🙏 #SardarUdhamSingh here we go!'. Take a look -



Shaheed Udham Singh was a revolutionary freedom fighter who is well known for going to London and killing the former lieutenant governor of Punjab, Michael O Dwyer on 13th March, 1940, as a revenge for the Jalianwala Bagh Massacre of Amritsar 1919.

Udham Singh was born as Sher Singh on 26 December 1899, at Sunam in the Sangrur district of Punjab. Singh was arrested after killing Dwyer and was hanged at Pentonville Prison on 31 July 1940 and thus came to be known as Shaheed Udham Singh.

'Sardar Udham Singh' is directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. The film is scheduled to release next year on October 2nd on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
