Though the makers have announced that Shahid Kapoor will play the lead in the film but everyone wanted to know about the leading lady. Earlier there were reports that Rashmika Mandanna might be roped in for the role, but now she is out of this race and we have heard another name which is has been finalized opposite Shahid Kapoor.
We are talking about Mrunal Thakur who was previously seen in Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' and John Abraham's 'Batla House'. In both these films, Mrunal has impressed everyone with her acting.
The Hindi remake of 'Jersey' will also be directed by the original film director Gautam Tinnouri and the producers of the film will be Allu Arvind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju. It is slated to release in August next year.
