Besides being a designer of repute in the fashion circle, Designer Manav Gangwani is also quite adept at painting. He considers his best friend Karan Johar as his inspiration.

Therefore he has painted a caricature of Karan as a puppeteer, sitting on a coffee mug, pulling the strings of stars like Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta etc. It is appropriately titled 'Koffee with Karan', and has gifted it to him.

"Karan is a multi-faceted personality loved by all and my painting shows his universe of people close to him in a much caricatured manner. And Karan very sportingly has hung the painting in his office. He is my inspiration." says Manav.

Incidentally, after creating his brand name in the fashion industry, and his trademark 'Fashion', Manav is being very selective in choosing the right director, and the right production house for his foray into designing for films.
