For some time now, Bollywood has been romancing stories that stem out of heartland India and all these films have worked magic at the box office. Movies ranging from the simplistic 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Super 30', 'Raanjhanaa' or the glamour-packed 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' or 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' are a few examples among the numerous films that have been exploring various facets of small-town India.
The success of films is no longer dependent on larger-than-life characters, metropolitan cities and expensive international locations. Going into the heartland of the country and connecting with the lives of middle-class youth is doing the trick. Acceptance of such movies is an indicator of the evolution of the audience's taste.
Motichoor Chaknachoor is also a story which originates from the heartland of India and connects with every individual. The characters are so well crafted that there is an instant association with them. Whether it's Nawaz who is 36 years old finding a wife or Athiya who wants to get married to a NRI. We are sure Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty' unconventional pairing makes the film more interesting.
Motichoor Chaknachoor, produced by Viacom18 Studios and Woodpecker Movies, Rajesh and Kiran Bhatia is directed by Debamitra Biswal. Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty. The film is slated to release on 15th November 2019.
