The party was at Sanju's flat at Imperial Heights and rocked till the wee hours of the morning. Jimmy Sheirgill, Dharam Oberoi and his daughter Neha, Sudhanshu Pandey, Jasmeet, Sameer Soni, Dia Mirza, Rohit Roy and his wife Manasi were some of the guests present.
A friend of the actor at the bash reveals, "Last Sunday night, after winning the Stardust Award for Star of the Year, Sanju wanted to throw a party for the cast and crew of Sanjay Gupta's next film, Alibag. The film's shooting will commence soon, so Sanju decided to make it a pre-shoot party. The source says that many of Sanju's friends were surprised to see him in domestic mode. "Sanju and Maana cooked the entire meal themselves.
Maana is a fantastic cook and had been cooking since morning. She cooked nearly 12 kilos of mutton! Sanju and Maana made Pushtam (a Kashmiri dish), Yakni pulao, Hyderabadi biryani, Lucknowi mutton, mutton korma and some delicious chicken dishes. For dessert, there was chocolate truffle and phirni.
That's just one of the reasons why Sanju is so besotted with her — she's so good in the kitchen! There was so much food left over that the guests were packing them in dabbas to take back home!"
Director Sanjay Gupta adds, "Maana is a fantastic hostess. She went out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and was totally in sync with everyone, even though she was meeting many of Sanju's friends for the first time."
Dia Mirza, who is part of Alibag and cast opposite Sanjay Dutt, says, "I went very late as I had a show before that. I ate the yummiest khana at Sanju sir's home. Being a Hyderabadi, I can say that I have never tasted better Hyderabadi food."
