Recently leading Jamaican-American electronic dance music trio Major Lazer were headlining Adrenaline Factory's Sound System Concert in Mauritius and dropped Akasa and Aastha Gill maiden collaboration Naagin on their set. Incidentally, Deepika Padukone danced with Laxmi Agarwal to 'Naagin' when she made her TikTok debut recently for her upcoming film Chapaak.

Currently, Naagin is the 30th most-watched video on YouTube globally and sits on the 8th spot in India's Top Music Videos Chart. It has crossed over 100 million views on YouTube and it's done more than two million videos on Tiktok, and it is firmly in the top position across audio streaming charts - a big feat for a non-Bollywood number. Composed and written by ace Bollywood songwriter Vayu, the single also featured Dutch music producer Akshe Puri aka PURI who has been acknowledged by the likes of Steve Aoki, Hardwell, and Diplo. The 2019 party anthem video is directed by Sneha Shetty Kohli, who has worked on films like Simmba, Chennai Express, Singham and upcoming Sooryavanshi as Chief Assistant Director.

Akasa states, "This is all very unreal and I feel blessed that Naagin is receiving so much love! I saw the videos and the audience reaction is unbelievable."

Known for her massive Bollywood hits Aithey Aa, Kheech Meri Photo and chartbuster singles Maaserati, Thug Ranjha, Akasa recently collaborated with American singer-songwriter LAUV and music composer Rochak Kohli for the song titled Dil Na Jaaneya from the Akshay, Kareena, Diljit, Kiara-starrer Good Newwz.
