Rambha was here this Wednesday to promote her first-ever Bhojpuri film Banke Bihari MLA . She was accompanied with Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan of Big Boss's fame, who is playing main hero against her in the movie.
Banke Bihari MLA is basically a story about a dumb youngster, coming from the rural background, impressing one and all by his performance in various circuits in city.
Among other important personalities were the film's director Babloo Soni and producer Ramesh Rao.
Released on February 16 all over India, the film has boosted Rambha's confidence.
According to Rambha, the language in the cinema does not matter and she is ready to perform in any language.
'It is my first film in Bhojpuri. I have earlier done many regional films in the south. I think language does not matter as long as it is a part of the Indian culture,' said Rambha.
Rambha, who was elated to work in Bhojpuri cinema, expressed her desire to work more in Bhojpuri films. She hoped the Bhojpuri films would help her develop language skills with each movie.
Meanwhile, Ravi Kishan, the hero of the film who recently shot into big fame at national level through Big Boss, a TV game show, sang a Bhojpuri song to convey his best wishes to the Team India for ICC World Cup 2007. Both Rambha and Ravi wished the Indian cricket team good luck.
The Bhojpuri industry, catering to 200 million people who speak the Bhojpuri language - a dialect of Hindi - and live in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, is raking in cash like never before.
Sticking to home-grown Indian family melodramas and throwing in some glamorous faces and slick foreign locations for a contemporary feel, Bhojpuri films are often outperforming Bollywood biopics at the box office these days.
