Mexican actress Salma Hayek is reportedly pregnant with her first child.

Ina Ereciokas, Hayek's publicist, told New York Daily News: "Businessman, Francois-Henri Pinault, and his fiancée, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child."

The news certainly came as a surprise because so far no one was aware that she even had a boyfriend, reports www.hollywood.tv.

Pinault is the CEO of PPR (formerly Pinault-Printemps-Redoute) group, the world's third largest luxury conglomerate. They own Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, the French department store Printemps, catalog giant La Redoute and the music-and-book chain FNAC.

There is no word yet on a wedding date for Francois-Henri and Hayek.
