Telling us about it, 'Shikara' director shares, `God willing, I would make a film school in Kashmir so that the children there like me can study. My father was not very well off and I could not go to a film institute. I took 200 rupees from my brother who took up a job then. We very struggling with finances and I still remember, I would starve and eat two bananas. This is where I have come from and that's why I really hope that I open this school in Kashmir`.
The makers of 'Shikara', Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rahul Pandita attended the prestigious Jaipur Literature Festival 2020 and was part of a special panel discussion at the event. The panellists interacted with the audience and the insightful session was definitely a session to watch out for.

Also, talking about the upcoming film, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has made sure that he keeps the storyline of 'Shikara' as authentic as possible. Earlier, the filmmaker had expressed how he wanted the film to look real. He shot with the inhabitants of Jagti refugee camp and the other camps which would bring authenticity to the film. 'Shikara' brings back the untold story of Kashmiri pandits from the valley of 1990.
