Vidhu Vinod Chopra's upcoming film, Shikara has caught all the eyeballs with its thrilling storyline that comes straight out of the books of history. Every glimpse of the film that is all set to release this Friday, is appealing to the sensibilities of the young India who never had a closer look at the reality of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.
Recently, at the summit, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra shared a very insightful experience he had with his daughter and said, `My daughter Zuni is a writer and we were going to the airport one day and there was an ad that said something about being brilliant. I told her that it's wrong. It should be excellence, Pursue Excellence and we had a long discussion and finally, she told me, dad, it's only a hoarding. But let me tell you what the discussion was - Brilliance or when somebody tells you, you are brilliant, it is the acknowledgment of your excellence by everybody. But when you are striving for excellence, it's you who is struggling and you don't give a damn whether you get acknowledged or not. So there is a huge difference, guys! between excellence and brilliance."
The audience at the youth summit seemed highly charged and excited about Shikara and truly was all claps, cheers for the storyline that it brings to the floor. Shikara is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. Definitely, the youth awaits the release of the film already.
The film is inspired by Vidhu Vinod Chopra's own life and is a tribute by the director to his mother.'Shikara' brings back the untold story of Kashmiri pandits from the valley of 1990 and has 40,000 real migrants of Jagti and other camps who actually shot for the film. The movie also has actual footage from the exodus included which brings it even closer to reality.
Shikara is all set to release on 7th February 2020. Presented by Fox Star Studios. Produced by Vinod Chopra Productions and co-produced by Fox star studios.
