Put simply, Shiny Ahuja and Kangana who have worked in two treatises on traumatized togetherness called Gangster and Woh Lamhe, can't stand each other.
It all started with Anurag Basu's unabashed favouritism on the sets of Gangster. Discloses a source, "The director had taken on himself to make Kangana the most sensational debutante since Kareena in Refugee.
He saw the potential in her and he groomed and instructed her on every shot and nuance. Naturally Anurag's open partiality for his leading lady didn't go down well with the rest of the cast specially Shiny who felt cheated as he was playing the title role in Gangster."
According to the source Shiny tried every trick in the book to bring attention back to the leading lady. "He would openly try to distract Kangana during shots, crack a joke in her ears just before she had to do a breakdown scene...Kangana didn't catch on during Gangster.
But by the time the two came together to do their next film she was completely clued into Shiny's games of one-upmanship."
Apparently Kangana has given another mind blowing performance in WohLamhe and completely overshadowed her co-star again.
By the end of Gangster the pair-of-depair barely exchanged a hello on the sets. During WohLamhe they ceased to talk to each other completely.
One doesn't see this interesting pair coming together again for another film.
