Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Durgavati' has a latest addition to its cast. The immensely talented Arshad Warsi has joined the film. The G. Ashok directorial is a female-centric horror-thriller which is a remake of his own 2018 Telugu film 'Bhaagmathie'. The producers are Bhushan Kumar, Akshay Kumar, and Vikram Malhotra. Bhushan Kumar shared the news on twitter.

Bhumi notes that this is the first time in her career that she will carry an entire film on her shoulders. She adds that she doesn't feel much pressure about the fact. "I am shooting for Durgavati in Bhopal. It's a very new narrative and a new story for me. I am carrying the entire film on my shoulders for the first time and really amazing people are associated with this film, so it's going really well", said Bhumi.

Durgavati is an upcoming 2020 horror thriller film directed by G. Ashok, which is a remake of his own 2018 Telugu film 'Bhaagmathie' and starring Bhumi Pednekar as an IAS officer, which was played by Anushka Shetty in the original version. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Akshay Kumar, and Vikram Malhotra under T-Series, Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment respectively.
