A few days back ace comedian, Sunil Pal, who is anchoring 'Titan Antakshari' on Zee TV, left the show midway and did not return.

There was a huge commotion on the sets and luckily Divyanka Tripathi (Vidya of 'Banoo Teri Dulhan'), who was the guest that day, came to the rescue.

Sunil Pal admitted, "Yes, I did leave the shoot midway. I was being maltreated by Sharad and Keerti Kelkar. I did not like that and left immediately. I also told the channel to continue with the shoot without me."

Sunil also revealed that this was not the first time he was being treated this way. "For every little thing I am blamed. I want to use my creativity for the show but they do not let me do so.

I'm also told to call up people if they are reluctant to come on the show. I am not supposed to do all that. I get no respect from the channel," said the seething Sunil.

It has also been noticed that Sunil's cohost Himani Kapoor has been trying to grab the limelight from him. "The job should be equally handled. She is a singer but that doesn't mean she will take things in her hands," complained Sunil.

Earlier, too, there were quarrels between Sunil and Himani, but Sunil always laughed it off.

"But how long will I bear all this? You think I have no self-respect?" asked Sunil Pal. So is he going to withdraw as an anchor? "I have told the channel that if they are ready to work with me in a dignified way, I will join the show," he clarified.

After repeated attempts to get through to a spokesperson from Zee, the person we spoke to finally seemed unaware and surprised. "I do not think Sunil is unhappy with the channel!"

When Sunil's comments about the channel's behaviour were conveyed to him, the spokesperson reacted, "I don't think so. You can delete those quotes. There must have been some misunderstanding."

Sunil is not too worried about his comeback because he is busy with other work too. He has also done quiet a few films and the one which is ready for release is 'Bombay to Goa', a remake of the classic comedy by the same name.

He is excited about the role because he will be playing the lead role that was played by Mehmood. Next will be Feroz Nadiadwala's 'Fool and Final' where he plays a drunkard.

"There are many other films in the pipeline and I'm also doing a lot of shows on several channels as well," informed Sunil. No laughing matter, this. - (SAMPURN)
