Get set for a period love saga that you've never seen before as ALTBalaji and ZEE5's upcoming period saga It Happened in Calcutta premieres tomorrow on 29th February. Before it's launch the digital platforms hosted an exclusive screening where the celebrities were asked to come in their retro avatars for the show. It was a glamourous affair with the lead cast - Naghma Rizwan and Karan Kundrra making heads turn at the event. They were joined by other celebrities like Anusha Dandekar, Vikas Gupta, Anita Hassanandani, Chetna Pande, Vijayendra Kumeria, Krishna Kaul, Mugdha Chapekar, Yogita Bihani, Chetna Pande, Saba Saudagar amongst others who applauded the stellar performances by the starcast.



It Happened in Calcutta is a story that focuses on love, betrayal, friendship and also showcases how every love story is different. While we often see in most love stories that the couple are meant to be together, here it is the separation and longingness between these two lovers is what defines them truly.



To get a feel of the events set to unfold, watch the trailer of this romantic tale transcending the era of the 60s & 70s. Set in a time where retro was the latest fad, the story also showcases the Indo-Pak war and the time where the country was plagued with the cholera outbreak.
