Even before the trailer release of #VMateAsliHolibaaz, a special Holi film by the trending short video platform starring India's top YouTubers Bhuvan Bam and Ashish Chanchlani, its first look has already become a sensation on social media platforms. The poster of the film, which presents the two comedians in a fierce avatar looking set to compete against each other, triggered a pool of funny memes across social media giants like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

One of the memes has compared the coming together of two YouTube stars with the recently-held 'Namaste Trump' event, which saw two of the greatest leaders of our time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, share the stage in Ahmedabad. The fans also drew a parallel with Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan sharing screen space on television show Bigg Boss. The anticipation for #VMateAsliHolibaaz was also captured in some of the memes, as fans used a photograph of yesteryear dreaded villain Gabbar Singh of Sholay and his popular dialogue - `Holi kab hai, kab hai Holi?`.

Here's a look at some of the hilarious memes triggered by the unveiling of #VMateAsliHolibaaz first look:

Prior to the release of the poster, Ashish Chanchlani had shared a photograph on his Instagram account wherein he was seen sitting with Bhuvan Bam on a bench. The photograph turned out to be a rage on social media as fans took to different platforms to excitement for the upcoming film. The YouTubers were referred to as 'Modi-Trump' by famous rapper Badshah and as 'Karan-Arjun'by other fans. Some of the fans said that the duo formed a real team, which according to them, was better than Deepvir (Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh) and Virushka (Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma).

It is a modern practice of sorts that fans take to social media ahead of any major film releases. Often before the release of big films, fans express their excitement and anticipation through memes. #VMateAsliHolibaaz is latest in the league of such flicks and going by the response till now, the film is certain to cross fresh thresholds in the entertainment domain. As the name suggests, the film is centered on the theme of Holi and the fun associated with the festival of colours. The film will be released on VMate on March 8, 2020.
