Recently, owing to the pandemic outbreak and in order to help the daily wager workers across the nation, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar launched the initiative #iStandWithHumanity. IAHV, The Art of Living foundation and the Film and Television fraternity have come together to launch the campaign for the daily wage earners during the nationwide lockdown which has impacted their livelihoods. Within moments of the launch, the whole of Bollywood came in full support of the cause and it is because of the efforts by Mahaveer Jain, the creative producer of our entertainment industry.

While Rajkumar Hirani urged everyone from the industry to extend their support, Mahaveer became the binding factor and a catalyst in bringing everyone together in order to gather support from the personalities of the entertainment industry.

Within moments of its launch, the members of the film fraternity including the Bollywood stars came in full support to the campaign that aims to help those who help us in every sphere of functioning as a society. The first to show support was Rajkumar Hirani who also urged the others in Bollywood to come in support of the greater cause.

From Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Ritesh Sidhwani, Ekta Kapoor, Nitesh Tiwari, Bhumi Pednekar, Gurmeet Choudhary, Rakulpreet Singh, Aanand L Rai, Rohit Shetty, Ayesha Shroff, Varun Sharma, Karan Johar, Shashank Khaitan, Motilal Oswal, Boney Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar to Bhushan Kumar, everyone came forward and expressed their support to the cause in no time.

The initiative by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar aims to support a family with 10 days of essential food supplies. The initiative requires the individual to sponsor a bag of ration of the value, Rs 1000. This could be donated online and comes as a great relief to all those whose work and livelihood has been affected- the daily wage workers who are the backbone of the society across the various industries in the country.
