"I am a homemaker, wife and mother these days. I have a son, Ranvir, who needs all my attention. I acted for two and a half years after marriage, but I did not want to become a working mother. I am not going to act in films for a long time," says Sonali.
However, the talented actress still derives creative satisfaction by doing theatre. She has acted in Aap Ki Soniya' that has been staged in various cities to generate funds for charitable causes. It is a sequel to Tumhari Amrita.
Though the actress is enthusiastic about her husband Goldie Behl's home production Drona, she is not "interfering" in the film. "Drona is Goldie's film. Since it is not my film, I am not giving any inputs to him," says Sonali, who was in New Delhi on Tuesday to promote a new jewellery line.
Sonali says she is extremely happy that Abhishek and Aishwarya are tying the knot. She claims Abhishek to be a wonderful friend and wishes the couple the best for the future.
On so many film stars endorsing so many big brands these days, Sonali says: "Obviously Bollywood actors do make a difference. But it is not fair for me to comment on whether it helps in promoting the product. I think people who promote big brands are knowledgeable people and this question should be directed at them."
