Amit Sadh aka Kshitij of Sony's prime time show Durgesh Nandini is feeling sorry for his own professionalism.
Admitted in hospital and being treated for typhoid, the actor says, "I am here since last week and haven't received a single call or visit from anyone from the production house, for whom I was working day and night till last week. On the contrary the channel (SONY) has shown much concern for me."
He further adds, "During one of the shoots I got infected with viral fever and even fainted on sets once and immediately doctor was called. My condition was damn serious and the doctor even advised the producer of Durgesh Nandini that they should allow me to take a break from shooting immediately for treatment."
So was he granted a leave? An upset Amit says, "I was shocked when despite the doctor's advice the executive producer told me that there are orders from the boss that unless my work is completed I cannot leave.
As a result I was forced to shoot in night shift after which my condition became more serious and finally the fever was converted into typhoid."
When spoken to, the supervision producer of Durgesh Nandini, Sanjala Deewan denies any such cruelty from the producer and said, "When the doctor informed us about his illness, we immediately granted him a leave for treatment."
Blaming the production house the actor says, "Only due to them I am suffering from typhoid today. Had they allowed me to get myself hospitalized in the initial stage of my illness, things wouldn't have been so bad today."
However, he has no plans to leave the show and he says that he is satisfied with his role but will have deep regrets for showing professionalism which nearly cost him his life.
Hope you are back on the sets hale and hearty soon, Amit! - (SAMPURN)
