Just yesterday we heard the saddening news of Irrfan Khan's departure due to cancer and today it is yet another day of sorrow and pain as we lost another gem of a person and one of the most beloved and finest actors of Bollywood Rishi Kapoor. With Rishi Kapoor, we are also witnessing the end of an era, an era that will live forever in our hearts and will be remembered for a long long time to come.

Bollywood is facing back to back blows due to the loss of such legendary and veteran actors in this hard times. First it was Irrfan Khan yesterday and today it is Chintu Ji. Bollywood stars along with many prominent personalities are mourning the demise of the Rishi Kapoor. Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Lata Mangeshkar, PM Narendra Modi, Shahid Kapoor, Kajol, Rajnikanth, Priyanka Chopra and many other personalities took to Twitter to pay their condolences to Rishi Kapoor ji.

Salman Khan remembered the actor by tweeting "Rest in peace chintu sirrr, kaha suna maaf , strength , peace n light to family n friends..."



Akshay Kumar wrote "It seems like we're in the midst of a nightmare...just heard the depressing news of #RishiKapoor ji passing away, it's heartbreaking. He was a legend, a great co-star and a good friend of the family. My thoughts and prayers with his family πŸ™πŸ»".



Aamir Khan expressed his feelings writing "We have lost one of the greats today. An amazing actor, a wonderful human being, and 100% a child of Cinema. Thank you for all the joy you brought to our lives. Thank you for being the actor and human being that you were. You will be badly missed Rishiji. Love. a."



Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar saddened by the deparyure of Rishi ji tweteed a picture with him writing "Kuch samay pehle Rishi ji ne mujhe unki aur meri ye tasveer bheji thi.wo sab din,sab baatein yaad aarahi hain. Main shabdheen hogayi hun."



Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his condolences calling Rishi ji a power house of talent. He wrote "Multifaceted, endearing and lively...this was Rishi Kapoor Ji. He was a powerhouse of talent. I will always recall our interactions, even on social media. He was passionate about films and India's progress. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti. - Narendra Modi (@narendramodi)"



Kabir Singh star Shahid Kapoor offered his condolences to Rishi Ji's family writing "You will always be in our hearts sir. Your charm your warmth and your unforgettable performances will give light to us all in the darkest moments. Deepest condolences to Neetuji , Ranbir and the entire family.".



Kajol who had worked with Rishi Kapoor in 'Fanaa' tweeted "To one of the most amazing actors and person all around. You will forever be remembered and missed. Chintuji πŸ™"



Priyanka Chopra offered her condolences to the veteran actor and tweeted "My heart is so heavy. This is the end of an era. #Rishisir your candid heart and immeasurable talent will never be encountered again. Such a privilege to have known you even a little bit. My condolences to Neetu maam, Ridhima, Ranbir and the rest of the family. Rest in peace Sir."



Known as the chocolate boy of Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor had a film career spanning more than 50 years. His first on screen appearance was in the 1955 film Shree 420 and debuted to the big screen as a lead with the 1973 ronatic-drama film 'Bobby' which made his a superstar overnight. He worked in more than 150 films in his lifetime and will always be remembered for his contribution to the Indian Cinema.
