Negative or positive, publicity is never bad. And this has been proved yet once again in case of Divya Dwivedi, who was in news recently for being threatened by an underworld don to pose as his wife and help him withdraw money illegally from her account.

The small time actress has eventually hit the headlines and has now landed up coveted main lead role in director Lekh Tandon's next serial on Doordarshan.

Divyaa is excited about the whole project and considers herself lucky to be working with such a big director as Lekh Tandon. "It is a role of a life time, I play the lead in it and the best that I have done till today," says the excited Divya.

‘Bikhri Aaas Nikhri Preet' is basically a triangular love story. "It is a story of two cousin sisters. I play the younger of the two sisters. My mother has already fixed up my marriage to her best friends son.

Unfortunately, my mother dies and I am being taken away by my mother's best friend. Now, as we sisters grow up, it so happens that my elder sister falls in love with this guy with whom my marriage has already been fixed," Divyaa elaborates about her character.

Her character is of a girl who is traditional, sensitive and always looking for happiness. She looks for happiness in making others happy while she cries only for herself. "I was called for auditions for the role and when people told me not to let the chance go by as Lekh Tandon was a big director; I decided to take up the role," said Divyaa.

Divyaa has earlier featured in films like Tushar Kapoor starrer ‘Yeh Dil' and Hrishitaa Bhatt starrer ‘Jigyaasa'. Currently she is also working for a south film besides Lakhan Sinha's ‘Jahaan Jayega Hume Payega' which has Govinda in the cast. - (SAMPURN)
