'REJCTX2' is a teen musical thriller and a coming of age story that revolves around the lives of seven Indian students studying in The Jefferson World School. Premiering on 14th May, these privileged kids are thrust into the exclusive world of the rich, right where they belong.

But eventually, they find themselves at the disposal of their own insecurities. The bunch of misfits and rebels make a musical squad and choose music as the form of expression for that restlessness. The music is composed by famous singer-songwriter Ankur Tewari and music composer - producer, Ashutosh Phatak. The lyrics and the music is for the youth and by the youth. For the first time, Ankur and Ashutosh went LIVE across ZEE5's social media platforms for the REJCTX2 music launch on Sunday, 10th May.

The director-producer of REJCTX2 Goldie Behl joined the most talked about young cast later in the show in a rapid tête-a-tête. Additionally, Ruhika and Rajat from The True School of Music performed the songs 'Sun Lo Na' and 'Mad About You'. The prior song is the love theme to Aarav and Kiara's

story and the later is the fan song for Maddy by his secret admirer. The music launch was hosted by Radio Ki Heroini, RJ Rohini.

`Keeping safety and the current scenario in mind, we did a virtual music launch for REJCTX2 with the talented kids from the show, Ashutosh Phatak and talent from True School of Music and Director Golde Behl. The songs are extremely close to my heart as the music resonates with the 8 characters of the kids in the show. We wanted the songs to be an extension to these characters and with this virtual launch organised by ZEE5, we hope to reach and connect with the youth of today. The music and the lyrics are for the young and by the young. Both Ashutosh and I, along with the True School of Music have tried to curate a collection of edgy but youth-centric songs. `The virtual music launch was a lot of fun and engaging with Ankur, Goldie and the young cast of REJCTX2 present. It's great to see everyone supporting each other with such enthusiasm even during these tough times. This launch brought back memories of the collaborative process of creating these songs not only with Ankur but also with the talented students from the True School of Music ; they have contributed significantly to the project. Ankur Tewari has put India's Indie music scene on the global map, as the music supervisor of the Gully Boy soundtrack, and his own songs like 'Mohabbat Zindabad' and 'Woh Hum Nahin', which became the youth anthems. Additionally, composer-producer Ashutosh Phatak who has composed music for over 3000 television commercials and so

zundtracks for over 10 feature films has joined hands with Ankur in a collaborative effort. Together, they have composed the songs for ZEE5's most awaited original teen musical thriller, 'REJCTX2'

The kids in the show represent the misfits, who go on to create a new identity with their music band by the same name. The makers of the show released the trailer of season 2 recently.

In REJCTX season 2, Esha Gupta will be seen as officer Rene, Ahmed Masi Walia as Aarav Sharma, Anisha Victor as Kiara Tiwari, Ayush Khurana as Mandy, Prabhneet Singh as Harry, Ridhi Khakhar as Parnomitra Rai, Saadhika Syal as Sehmat Ali, Pooja Shetty as Misha Patel, Tanvi Shinde as Yesha and Sumeet Vyas as the Vice President.

REJCTX2 is produced and directed by Goldie Behl and will be streaming exclusively from 14th May on ZEE5.
