Good news for Ajay's and Emraan's fans as both are almost confirmed to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next period-drama Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt in lead. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi have been added to the cast of the movie. Another entertainment website also claimed that the Jannat fame actor has already shot his portion of with Alia Bhatt in the initial months of 2020. Now Ajay Devgn is waiting to start shooting alongside Alia Bhatt after the lockdown ends and the shooting begins again.

Bhansali's had already begun shooting the film but faced an abrupt stop due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the following lockdown. But as the states are removing the lockdown, the production team, the whole cast & crew are waiting for green signal by the state authorities so they can resume the shooting. Sources are claiming that Ajay will portray the role of a gangster named Karim Lala whereas there is no such information about Emraan's character.

Last time we saw both these actors in Milan Luthria's 'Baadshaho' and the duo has also worked earlier in 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' & 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai'. Now Ajay and Emraan are set to collaborate after 3 years in their fourth venture together Gangubai Kathiawadi that has got the fans excited. Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on the real-life story of Gangubai Harjivandas, whose husband sold her at a young age for Rs 500 at the brothel and later she became one of the biggest and most powerful 'Mafia Queens' of the Mumbai underworld.
