ZEE5 has had one of the most exciting line-ups so far and their most awaited upcoming original thriller drama is titled 'Mafia', is set to premiere on 10th July. It is centred around the popular social deduction board game mafia. A reunion turned into a faint gamble between six friends, but will this iconic reunion party be their worst nightmare?

ZEE5 exclusively released the teaser on its social media, check it out:



The teaser starts with a faint hiss of the forest in the background and then into the first shot of a sombre cottage. The scene directly transitions to a group of friends with their eyes closed and thus the game of betrayal and deceit begins. The teaser is a glimpse into the night that will unfold the darkest truth of six former college friends. Mafia will toggle viewers with the actual game's narrative and tactic on to the lives of six players turning this mystery drama into a psychological thriller. Will they have to confront and pay for their lies? Or will the players catch the mafia?

Namit Das who plays the character of Nitin expresses, "I absolutely loved the setting of the cottage for the shoot, it felt like a perfect reunion spot. This is one of the most unique projects I have worked on. I can't imagine how a household game could even turn someone's life into a gamble like this! Mafia is thrilling and with every episode, a new mystery will be solved. The rules will be broken for sure, so viewers should gear up for one hell of a rollercoaster ride.`

Mafia is directed by Birsa Dasgupta, produced by Eskay Movies and created by Rohan Ghose and Aritra Sen. The show features Namit Das as Nitin, Tanmay Dhanania as Rishi, Isha M Saha as Ananya, Anindita Bose as Neha and Madhurima Roy as Tanya in pivotal roles.
