The Coronavirus pandemic and consequent lockdown have forced many filmmakers to release their films directly on the OTT platforms. Yesterday, seven movies, Bhuj: The Pride of India, Laxmmi Bomb, The Big Bull, Sadak 2, Dil Bechara, Lootcase, and Khuda Haafiz were announced to be released by the streaming platform Disney+Hotstar. But not opting for thw digital way, Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' will still be releasing in the cinema halls instead of OTT platforms.

Yes! Now, trade analyst Taran Adarsh has revealed on Twitter that the makers of Sooryavanshi are planning to release the film on Diwali this year. He tweeted, "BIGGG DEVELOPMENT... #Sooryavanshi and #83TheFilm to release in *theatres* first... Plans to release #Sooryavanshi in #Diwali and #83TheFilm in #Christmas *IN CINEMAS*." Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi marks the coming together of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's superhit on-screen pair after a decade. It stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, and Ajay Devgn & Ranveer Singh in cameo roles as Bajirao Singham and Simmba Bhalerao.
