Saroj Khan got fame Bollywood with the song 'Hawa Hawai' in Mr India (1987), followed by projects like Nagina (1986) and Chandni (1989). She later worked with Madhuri Dixit when she choreographed the song 'Ek Do Teen' in the film Tezaab (1988), followed by more successes including 'Tamma Tamma Loge' in Thanedaar (1990) and 'Dhak Dhak Karne Laga' in Beta (1992). Since then, she was one of the most successful choreographers of Hindi cinema.
Bollywood was very attached to Saroj Khan as many actors and directors took it to social media to pay their condolences on her demise. Saroj choreographed more than 2000 songs and had received three National awards for her choreography in 'Dola re Dola' (Devdas), all songs of 'Sringaram' and 'Yeh Ishq Haye' (Jab We Met). Saroj last choreographed Madhuri Dixit in the song 'Tabah Ho Gaye' from Karan Johar's 'Kalank' which was released in 2019.
