On July 2018, Zee Studios had announced the film on India's most successful football coach till date Syed Abdul Rahim, under whose leadership, the Indian football team won the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962. The Indian football team won a Gold at the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta and reached the semi-finals of the 1956 Melbourne Olympics when Syed was the coach.
In the movie, Ajay Devgn will portray the role of Syed Abdul Rahim. Directed by Amit Sharma of 'Badhaai Ho' fame, the film will now hit the screens on August 13th, 2021. Ajay next film, 'Bhuj: The Pride of India' is all set to stream on Disney+Hotstar soon.
