Krrish film series has become India's first superhero franchise film that has an infinite fan-following among its fans. Rakesh Roshan who also has directed, produced, and written the films, expanded the movie theme to television series, comics, and video games too. Now, the superhero franchise Krrish's fourth instalment is on its initial stage and according to the buzz, Hrithik Roshan's starrer film will be based on the time travel concept.

According to a report by News 18, "A source has stated that director Rakesh Roshan is planning to incorporate parts of the 2003 film Koii Mil Gaya in 'Krrish 4'. The superhero Krrish will go back in time to bring his father Rohit Mehra back from the dead, as well as the beloved alien Jadoo will also return this time.

Talking to Mid-day, a source said, `Rohit is integral to the story as he is the only person who can contact Jadoo. Rakeshji has designed the script cleverly to incorporate the much-loved alien from 'Koi Mil Gaya'. While the cast is yet to be determined, Priyanka Chopra is not expected to reprise her role.`

Another important update shared by the source discloses that the director has entrusted Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment with visual effects for a grand representation of the movie theme. He intends to introduce an army of super-villains who will battle with superhero Krrish. Rakesh Roshan has also hired a Hollywood designer to give a distinct look to each baddie in the film.

Earlier, Krrish 4 was scheduled to release in 2020 but production was halted due to Rakesh's cancer diagnosis. Now the filmmaker is healthy and hence has started the film's pre-production work and will go on floors in 2021.
