Known to give break to newcomers, the Bhatts had some time ago announced another film with Dino Morea. Malini Sharma, who played the bhatakti aatma in their earlier hit Raaz, was to play the lead in this film! But just two days before the shooting Malini decided to back out of the film under the influence of her boyfriend.
In this tight situation, Mahesh Bhatt had practically given up the thought to go ahead with the project till help came in the form of Bipasha Basu. The moment she learnt about Bhatt`s quandary she stepped forward to bail him out and agreed to do Malini`s role. This has impressed Mahesh Bhatt no end. After all which actress would show so much concern especially with a successful hit to her credit. But hey,Bipasha is different !.
